Fourth Annual Pay It Forward Giveaway

Happy Sunday!

So, I started this giveaway four years ago.  Making this post for the past four years just makes me smile.  I wish I could give more but every little bit counts. This time of year can be such a blessed & happy time for people but it can also be a struggle.  There are so many wonderful organizations out there to give to and I enjoy learning about new ones during this giveaway.

Here are the organizations we've given to in the past.  Maybe you'll find a new one to give to yourself!

Three Years Ago:

Two Years Ago:

Last Year:

So here's the skinny - you enter the giveaway.  One of the entries requires you to leave a comment telling what organization you would like a donation to be given.  If you feel like sharing why this charity is special to you I would love to hear your story and it's a beautiful way to honor somebody special to you.  I know others out there find themselves thinking of others, especially at this time of year, so this might help them find a new charity to give to.  This giveaway is all about paying it forward.

Once I choose a "winner" I'll give 50 dollars in your name to your charity of choice.

If you are a blogger and you'd like to start a similar giveaway I would be tickled pink to see that happen.  After all, that's the whole idea behind "pay it forward".  That's always been my vision for this - it would be really cool to see this spread!

  1. I would love to see a donation given to Warrior 360. This is a nonprofit which was founded by the husband of a longtime friend. Mark is a double leg amputee. He founded this nonprofit with a military friend and they are working hard to fulfill the mission of their nonprofit. Their mission is: To support the needs and promote the welfare of United States Military service-members, their families, and all others whose service to public safety generally place the welfare of others before their own. You can learn more about them at: http://www.warrior360.org/index.html

  2. I would love to see a donation made to MusiCorps. MusiCorps is an organization that teaches music to wounded veterans. I heard about them last Christmas and I have developed a love for what they do.

  3. This is such a wonderful thing that you are doing! I remember it from the last 2 years and look forward to reading about all the wonderful causes that people write about. I have a son with a rare genetic disorder called Williams syndrome. Since it is rare, not much public funding is devoted to research, but there is so much to be learned! Children and adults with Williams syndrome bring joy to everyone they meet with their infectious personalities. The Williams Syndrome Association is the leading organization that supports families and research into this syndrome. You can find out more at: https://williams-syndrome.org. Thanks for your consideration.

  4. I'm not exactly sure... but I'd love to find a charity pet related. I LOVE PETS and am on the cusp of becoming a crazy cat lady because I'm taking care of so many stray cats! You should see the "home" I built for one on my back deck! Seriously. Let's send some money to a pet charity and get these pets taken care of this winter!

You're such a sweetie for doing this!

  5. What a great idea! A great cause is Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, a no-kill shelter in Kanab, Utah. They take in so many homeless pets, even ones that are unadoptable or have special needs. They live at the shelter for as long as it takes to find them new homes. It's a great place with a wonderful mission of no more homeless pets. =)

  6. Heifer International donates animals to needy families in developing nations. The gift of the animal helps these families to become self-sufficient and, in many cases, to make enough money to send their children to school.

  7. I would like to see Wounded Warriors get it again. Our soldiers give their all each day, knowing it could be their life or their health on the line. They are so good to us. We need to be good to them, too! Thanks for doing this very nice project.
