Second Annual Pay It Forward Giveaway!!!!!

Hi All!

Just about a year ago I was celebrating 250 followers with a different kind of giveaway - a giveaway where YOU'RE actually the one giving away, so to speak.  You can read about it {here}.

Around this time of year you can't help but count your blessings.  You look back at the year, and although some days, weeks or maybe months might not have been stellar...you can look back on it and find hope and happiness.

There are so many charitable organizations out there who are trying to give more people in our world those same feelings of happiness and hope that can so easily be taken for granted.  That's why I'm happy to tell you about my....

Clipart: Middle Grades Maven
Fonts & Digital Paper: Mrs. Stanford's Class

I'd like to give $50 dollars to a charitable organization of your choice - in your name!

To enter...please just leave your name, which charity you'd like for your donation to go to and your email address.  I will use the Random Number Generator to choose a winner next Friday evening - at 8:00 EST.

Happy Holidays!!!!

Now go enter...and tell all your friends to enter too!!!!!

  1. Holly, I absolutely love this idea! I would love the donation to go to the March of Dimes. At conservative estimate, a good 50% of my severely impaired students over the years have been preemies - most born at 24-26 weeks gestation rather than the usual 40 - so educating about and preventing premature birth is a cause near and dear to my heart!

  6. I love this idea, Holly!! It is so generous and thoughtful...like you. I always ask my students' parents to donate to COTS Detroit (Coalition on Temporary Shelter) in lieu of a gift for me each holiday season. I cannot ever imagine being homeless and my heart aches for the many families who have lost their homes during these hard times.

  7. This is a wonderful way to keep the holidays in perspective without all the greed and commercialism! I would choose HOSPICE. They took care of my mother-in-law for the last week of her life.

  9. This is so wonderful. I would love to have the money donated to Makarios. Makarios is a faith based organization that provides education to impoverished Dominicans and Haitians in the DR. They take care of the poorest of the poor and provide them with two warm meals a day, uniforms, education and a medical plan. It is incredible the work that they do and the lives that are being changed there. I used to teach at the school so I can assure you the money will be well spent.

  22. This is awesome! I have participated in the 3 Day Walk for breast cancer (60 miles in 3 days) for 6 straight years sponsored by the Susan G. Komen foundation. I could not participate this year due to a foot injury and it broke my heart -- especially with my sister-in-law's diagnosis in early September. She just finished radiation yesterday! I started this walking because a classmate of my daughter was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 16 and was dead by the time she would have turned 17. So for Andi Stacy, and all the rest inflicted with this insidious disease, we must continue to fight.

But with that being said - any organization you choose would be awesome because this is such an awesome giveaway! Thanks!

  25. Warrior Canine Connection

Warrior Canine Connection is a therapeutic service dog training program that teaches Service Members with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) the skill of training mobility service dogs to be partnered with Veterans with mobility impairments. This worthy mission is specifically designed to reduce the symptoms of PTSD in the Warriors who train the dogs--and the great news is, it works! These Warrior-trained service dogs are then partnered with Veterans to provide them years of loyal companionship as well as an increased sense of well-being and independence.
